Supply of Heavy Coated Gabion Wires

1. Rural Access Programme (RAP), hereinafter to be understood as the Purchaser invites sealed bids from the eligible manufacturers or registered suppliers for the supply of heavy coated gabion wires to the different RAP districts as given below.
2. For eligibility of the suppliers, the average annual turn over of last three years should be at least as specified below.
3. Interested eligible manufacturers or its authorised suppliers may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at following offices.
4. A complete set of bidding documents may be obtained free of charge, by interested manufacturers or suppliers on the submission of formal written application to the following offices, within office hour, up to 11 October 2011 OR supplier can download bidding documents from RAP website – www.rapnepal.com up to same specified time period.

5. Sealed bid must be delivered to the above-mentioned office on or before 12:00 hrs, 13 October 2011 and must be accompanied by a standard bid bond of at least 2.5 percent of the bid Contract Price. If, for reasons beyond RAP's control the RAP office is required to close on the published date, then the next day on which the RAP office is opened will be the final day for submission of bids, at the same time.
6. Bids will be opened in the presence of suppliers’ representatives who choose to attend at 14:30 hrs, 13 October 2011 at Rural Access programme (RAP), Head office Jawalakhel.
7. With the tender the bidder must submit the following documents:
a. VAT Registration, Tax clearance certificate, proof of turn over
b. Bid bond shall be valid for a period of 85 days from the last submission date.
c. Certificate of dealership or authority of distribution from the manufacturers.
8. Purchaser will respond clarification of bidding documents, in writing and in RAP website as mentioned above for those queries, which it receives no later than seven (7) days prior to the deadline for the submission of bids.
9. At any time prior to the deadline for submission of bids, any addendum will be notified in writing and in RAP websites as mentioned above.
10. Bid evaluation for administratively compliant bids will be based on the quoted rates and the corresponding amounts. Only bids that comply fully with the Technical Specification, Schedule of Requirements and published administrative requirements will be evaluated.
11. Bids shall remain valid for a period of 60 (Sixty) days following bid opening and may be accepted by the Purchaser at any time within this period.

RAP reserves the right to reject any or all bids without giving reasons.
