Road construction works on CB2 in Sankuawasabha was completed in February 2011, whereas road construction works on KJ2 in Achham was completed in April 2011. Before opening these roads to traffic, the completed roads were jointly monitored by DDC officials and district party representatives to assure that the roads fully complied to design standards and the in-service performance criteria specified for RAP2 roads. Construction work of the remaining nine road corridors continued as planned until start of this year monsoon.

The detailed progress status of road construction of each road corridor is presented in Annex C: Monitoring Sheets with the summary of physical progress of all road corridors in Figure 2.2. The overall progress achieved varies between different RAPII road corridors. Construction progress in the Progress at a glance, shows that DP2 in Doti and BG2 & HD2 in Bhojpur are lagging behind compared to the progress recorded on other RAPII road corridors. Most of the remaining works include rock breaking and construction of gabion retaining walls in kholas/kholsas and other sections where sufficient road width are not readily available due to reluctance of local communities to part with their land.
